Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the new and improved WordPress 4.0!
This latest release sees improved media management and embedding functionality as well as a more integrated plugin experience and better text editing capabilities.
WordPress have taken great strides in improving user experience and ‘polishing’ the back end, and this new release builds on that further.
Increased focus on content creation is evident; the editor is now content aware and expands to fit. Formatting tools have been made ‘sticky’ so they will be always present even while scrolling and the presentation of media and plugins has been vastly improved.
Most importantly, in our view, you can now see embedded content in the editing window, so next time you embed a YouTube video, you’ll see the player there, instead of just a text hyperlink.
Overall we think this new release is great and love to see WordPress investing so much energy in improving user experience.
